School Security

All Portage Township Schools have security measures in place for the safeguarding of our children, faculty, and staff. One County, One Protocol procedures are established in all classrooms.

At the start of the school day, all doors/entrances into the building are locked. Parents/Visitors are to enter at the main entrance (Door A) to the building. Please be sure to follow the protocol for entrance into South Haven School.

ParentSquare and ClassDojo are two other ways to give parents information about school/ classroom events.

ParentSquare (a telephone/ text automated dialer system) is used by the school’s office to notify parents of upcoming events, by individual teachers to remind students/parents of field trips, different events, and class activities,It is also used by the district to important information and events that are happening district wide.
